Webcams and live view: Puttgarden, Rødbyhavn and the ferries right now
What does it look like over there right now, and is the ferry sailing? Two live streams from Femern A/S look over the ports from the tunnel construction sites, and the live map further down shows where the ferries in service are at this moment.

Between them that answers the question most people bring to this page, wherever they happen to be watching from.
We know of no public webcam pointed at the Scandlines check-in lanes themselves. What there is: the construction live streams of Femern A/S, the company building the Fehmarnbelt tunnel, on both sides of the Belt right next to the ferry ports, and the ships’ own AIS positions. The streams may end when the construction does; if a stream has stopped, YouTube says so when you load it.
Live stream Puttgarden
Strictly speaking this camera is watching a building site: the Femern A/S tunnel portal works at Puttgarden, directly beside the ferry port. For our purposes that is close enough. Weather, light and sea state are the same as at the check-in lanes a few hundred metres away.
Live stream Rødbyhavn
On the Danish side the camera shows the construction site and the tunnel element factory at Rødbyhavn, the cranes you see from the ferry deck as you approach Rødby. A second Femern stream that used to be here has been taken offline.
Where the ferries are right now
The map shows the AIS positions the ships send themselves. If you want to know whether the ferry you are waiting for has left the other side, this is the quickest check.
The map opens centred on one ferry, with the line of its recent track. Switch to another ferry or to the whole crossing with the buttons. Other ships in the Fehmarnbelt stay visible; the Scandlines ferries carry their names as labels. Normally three of the four are sailing and one is in reserve or in dock.
