Scandlines sells the ferry and the bridge toll as one combination ticket, a little cheaper than paying them separately, and it is the combination we used on the way out on our own trip.

What the combination ticket costs

Scandlines listed these “from” fares on 28 September 2026, one way, for a car up to 6 metres with up to 9 people. What your date costs depends on the departure and is shown in the booking.

TicketFromWhat it is
Combination ticket Standard, ferry plus Øresund Bridge101.25 €Puttgarden Rødby Standard ticket plus one bridge passage, in one booking
Combination ticket Flex, ferry plus bridge166 €Same, with free changes and refunds and priority boarding
Motorbike, ferry plus bridge48 €One way for a motorbike with up to 3 people
Booked separately, for comparisonabout 117 €Standard ferry 61.10 € plus the bridge online at 420 DKK, about 56 €

Roughly 16 euros per direction, then, is what the combination saves against booking the two yourself, plus the bother of a second account and a second payment. There is no Low Price version of the combination ticket, and a return is two single combination tickets. If you already have an ØresundGO agreement for the bridge (called BroPas until 2023: 370 DKK a year, then 182 DKK per car trip), compare: with ØresundGO the bridge alone is cheaper than the online single passage of 420 DKK, and the combination ticket may not come out cheaper.

Ticket guide: which ticket suits your trip?

Choose how you travel and what kind of trip it is. You see which tickets fit, what they allow and their from-fare on scandlines.com, checked on 28 September 2026.

These are indicative from-fares, not a quote. What your crossing costs depends on date, departure and availability, and you only see it in the booking.

How are you travelling?
What kind of trip?

From fares for a single crossing: Low Price from €48, Flex from €118. A given departure can cost more. The difference between the tickets is not comfort, it is how flexible they are.

What each ticket allows when plans change

Lowest from-fare

Low Price

from €48

Online only and on a limited number of departures, more often early, late, at night and on weekdays. Good value if your departure time is fixed and you reach the port with time to spare.

Only valid for the booked departure: not earlier, not later, no refund. You can upgrade to a more flexible ticket beforehand for a fee plus the fare difference.

Handy if your arrival time is uncertain

Standard

from €61.10

This from-price applies if you book at least 3 days ahead, while tickets at that price last. Valid for the booked departure and any other departure with space on the same day.

Booked later or on the day, Standard costs more: compare the fare in the booking. Another day: 30 euros plus any fare difference. At the harbour from €111.

Flex

from €118

Free changes and refunds, a reserved space, priority boarding.

Almost two and a half times the Low Price from-fare. Worth it if your date may still change or you want to be able to cancel for free.

The route: Rødby to Malmö in two and a quarter hours

Off the ferry in Rødby you are on the E47 within minutes. It runs up Lolland, through the Guldborgsund tunnel to Falster, over the Farø bridges to Zealand and into Copenhagen’s ring, where the E20 takes you to the bridge. Rødby to the Øresund Bridge is about 170 kilometres, the crossing itself is 16 kilometres (a tunnel under the shipping lane, the artificial island Peberholm, then the bridge), and Malmö’s edge is on the other side: about 195 kilometres and two and a quarter hours from Rødby without traffic. Copenhagen’s ring road at rush hour adds half an hour.

The toll is paid at the booths on the Swedish side. With the combination ticket you have paid already; follow the lanes for pre-paid or ticket holders, the booking confirmation tells you which. Passport checks at the Swedish end happen; have your documents ready.

Bridge or the Helsingør Helsingborg ferry?

Scandlines sells both combinations, and the choice is about where in Sweden you are going, not about price: the fares are within two euros of each other, and two euros should not decide it. Your destination should.

Take the bridgeMalmö, Lund, Skåne, Ystad and the ferry to Bornholm, Kristianstad, Karlskrona and the south-east coast
Take the Helsingør Helsingborg ferryGothenburg and the west coast, Halmstad, Jönköping and Stockholm via the E4: 40 to 50 km less driving and no Copenhagen ring road
EitherVäxjö, Ljungby and central Småland: we once calculated Rødby to Ljungby at 3 h 49 via the bridge and 4 h 08 via the ferry, a difference of twenty minutes
Long vehiclesOn the bridge a higher toll class applies from 6 metres; enter the real length in the booking and you see the total

The ferry combination is described on its own page: Puttgarden Rødby plus Helsingør Helsingborg. And if you start east of Hamburg, check first whether Rostock Gedser is not the shorter way to the same bridge; Scandlines sells the same combination tickets from Rostock.

How the combination ticket works in practice

  • One booking. You book the ferry departure as usual and add the bridge in the same step. The bridge passage is tied to your travel day; the booking shows the window in which it is valid.
  • Changes. With the Standard combination the ferry rules apply: the next sailing with space on the same day is free, another day costs a fee plus any fare difference. Flex changes and refunds are free. Details on the page about cancelling or changing a ticket.
  • Return. Two single tickets. On the way home the bridge comes first and the ferry last; the order in the booking is simply reversed.
  • Currency. The whole combination is charged in euros by Scandlines. No kroner needed at the bridge.

Ferry plus Øresund Bridge: FAQ

Is the combination ticket cheaper than booking the ferry and the bridge separately?

By about 16 euros per direction at the September 2026 fares: 101.25 € against roughly 117 € for a Standard ferry ticket plus the online bridge toll. With an ØresundGO agreement (formerly BroPas) the sums change; compare.

Can I get the combination as a Low Price ticket?

No. The combination exists as Standard and Flex only. Low Price is for the ferry alone.

How long does Rødby to Malmö take?

About 195 kilometres and two and a quarter hours without traffic, including the bridge. Add half an hour for Copenhagen’s ring road at rush hour.

Do I need Danish or Swedish money?

No. The combination is paid in euros at Scandlines, and card works everywhere on the way.
