The Costs of the Ferry

The Puttgarden-Rødby ferry prices vary between the high and low season. There’s also a mid-season for vehicle tickets, where the prices are slightly higher than in the low season.

The starting prices listed on the Scandlines website are always:

• The low season prices
• Excluding €1.50 fuel costs per departure
• Rates for early bookings.
• Costs for booking at the harbor itself have been €15 higher since 2024. For bridge tickets, an additional 5% of the ticket price is added.

When booking, you can choose from Early Booker, Standard, and Flex. This results in the following amounts for a one-way trip, including fuel surcharge. There is no extra benefit for return tickets unless you return on the same day. In other cases, the costs are twice the price of a one-way trip.

Those wanting to make the crossing with a vehicle only pay for the vehicle. The maximum number of people that can be added to the vehicle is 9. For vehicles over 6 meters in length, an extra €30 per two meters is charged.

‘Low Price’ from €52

From 20 to 2 days before departure, you can purchase limited availability tickets from €50.50 for a one-way trip. On top of this, a fuel surcharge of €1.50 is added.

‘Standard’ from €83

Standard tickets can be bought online up to 2 hours before departure for €81.50. A fuel surcharge of €1.50 is also added.

‘Flex’ from €113

Flex tickets are seen as tickets that should be ordered only in exceptional circumstances due to their price. They are only interesting if you are traveling with great uncertainty about your departure date. Flex Tickets are available from €111.50 excluding fuel surcharge.

Tips for Booking

• Opt for the low season
• Book early (at least 30 days in advance)
• Book online (saves €15 off the ticket price)
• Opt for the Low Price/Early Booker tickets (really saves a lot)
